Summer Isles Hotel: History
The hotel was developed over 4 decades by the Irvine family.
In March 2008 Mark and Gerry sold the hotel to Terry and Irina Mackay who have pledged to maintain the style, traditions and ambience of the hotel.
Scottish Chef of the Year
Chris Firth Bernard joined them in 1986 as head chef and, as well as many other awards, won his Michelin Star in 1998 along with Scottish Chef of the Year.
Summer Isles Hotel Staffing
Bob Johnson and Mary Hewett joined the team in 1995 and now run a team of enthusiastic staff as General Manager and Head Housekeeper.
